Dear Nova Scotia…

“Canada‘s Ocean Playground“ – That is what Nova Scotia is named because of it’s 13000 km coastline. It was the perfect destination for a summer vacation in Canada.

Bay of Fundy

Twice a day over 160 billion tons of seawater flow in and out of the Bay of Fundy. We visited Burntcoat Head Park within the Bay of Fundy. It is in the Guinness Book of World Records for the highest tides in the world. Tidal changes have been measured at 16.3 m. Of course we experienced the Wattenmeer. But to walk on the ocean floor between this high rock formations meters, that was a great experience.

Let’s go on the oceans floor!

Peggy‘s Cove

A beautiful spot, we went there twice

Micou‘s Island

A Canadian recommended to visit this island. You can only reach it by foot while it is low tide. And if you miss the low tide to go back you have to swim. It was a wonderful trip especially when the whales arrived in the bay near the beach. Suddenly everybody was silent. It was a magical moment.
