Fallen in love with Azulejos
We didn’t know anything about Azulejos before we went to Lisbon. But you can see this tile art everywhere. They decorate everything from house walls to benches, churches etc.
LX Factory
Although Lisbon is far away from Berlin, you can find “Berlin Flair” @ LX Factory. All the little cafés, restaurants and different shops plus interesting street art – we felt like home for some hours.
Sintra: Palace Pena
Palacio Nacional da Pena is a must see attraction and easy to reach by train and bus 434. We never have been to a place like this before. It was amazing to walk around, the palace offers so many great views over the area, including the Castle of the Moors, the hills, the sea and Lisbon. The botanical park is a highlight, too. We walked there for hours – it is a garden full of tranquility.
Vegan and vegetarian food in Portugal
Sure in Lisbon you can eat lots of fish and meat, but we love vegetarian and vegan food. So we decided to try every day a different restaurant. There are many opportunities all over the city, also vegan buffet restaurants. (We never went to a vegan buffet restaurant before.)
