Last Christmas we travelled to Miami and took two trips to the Keys. We loved the relaxed atmosphere, the tourquoise water and the beautiful views over the sea. So we decided to come back for a longer vacation on the Keys in December 2019.
We stayed on Key Largo for five days. Key Largo has some interesting attractions like the John Pennenkamp Coral Reef State Park. It is also a good base for exploring. Every day we visited another island. Our holiday highlights were:
- Marathon: Sombrero Beach is a beatiful place for swimming and snorkeling; the visit of the Turtle Hospital was a precious memory.
- Key West: There is a slogan „Close to perfect – far from normal“. That is true! The funniest thing for us: There are chickens everywhere!
Back in Miami
After five wonderful days on the Keys with swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, parasailing and relaxing we went back to Miami to visit some interesting spots.
